One Wayne County Schools Career Center Business Professionals of America student advances to national skill competition, after placing high at the Ohio BPA State Leadership Conference in Columbus. Seven other students also placed at the state contest.
The chapter also received the BPA Chapter Activities Award of Excellence for their community service projects and other BPA activities this year.
Interactive media junior Hailey of Chippewa placed second in presentation management individual, and will be competing in Orlando, Fl. on May 10-14. She developed a marketing plan for downtown Wooster through her fictional business, HM Marketing. Hailey is the daughter of Michael and Toni of Doylestown.
Placing sixth at state were interactive media student Jeremiah of Triway, in digital media production, and business entrepreneurship student McKenzie of Norwayne. in interview skills.
Placing 12th was business entrepreneurship student Dedric Isaac of Rittman in human resource management.
Placing 14th at state were the video production team of Casey and Seth, all of Wooster, and Alex of Smithville.
Business entrepreneurship student Zoey of Chippewa also placed in business law and ethics.
BPA advisers are interactive media instructor Jennifer Rue and business entrepreneurship instructor Kelly Miller.
