Two Wayne County Schools Career Center Early Childhood Education and Care seniors advanced to the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America National Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tenn. on July 2-7, following state competition.
Esther of Wooster placed first in the leadership competition. She is the daughter of Katie of Wooster and Jeffrey, also of Wooster.
Katie of Dalton placed second in early childhood education, and received a silver medal. She is the daughter of Tammy of Wooster and John of Massillon.
Daylea Durham of Smithville placed third in job interview, received a gold medal, and is an alternate for national competition.
The team of Faith Bozman and Sara Miller, both of Wooster, and Makenzie Hatten of Rittman won a gold medal for illustrated talk. Megan Hartzler, homeschooled, won a silver medal in career investigations.
