INTRO TO COMPUTERS I
Our certified technician teaches you common knowledge about computers including security, using apps, working with files, using Microsoft Windows, Cortana, Edge, and customizing Windows. It is designed to be flexible for every beginning student. Just show up and learn!

This is a continuation of Intro to Computers I. You'll learn more advanced computer skills and be introduced to the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).

MICROSOFT WORD 2016
12 hours/4 sessions  Tuition:  $175     Book:  $35
 
Level 1: 
This class is the first of 2 parts that introduce you to Microsoft Word. It covers saving, opening and cresting documents, formatting text, managing lists, tables, adding graphic objects, page appearance, spelling, and grammar.
 
Level 2:
This course covers tables and charts, style and themes, quick parts, building blocks, templates, paragraph flow, outlines, table of contents, and mail merge.
 
 
MICROSOFT EXCEL 2016 LEVELS 1-3
12 hours/4 sessions  Tuition: $175 per class     Book: $35
 
Excel Level 1:
The First of 3 Excel classes offered introduces you to Excel spreadsheets. This class covers basic navigation, terminology, entering data, creating formulas, using functions, adjusting cells, researching tools, modifying tools, basic formatting, conditional formatting, templates, headers and footers, and viewing worksheets.   
 
Excel Level 2:
Learn how to work with ranges, many different functions, sort and filter data, query data, tables, advance conditional formatting, create and modify charts, pivot tables and pivot charts.  
 
Excel Level 3: 
In the last class of Excel, you will learn how to use links, 3-D references, share workbooks, data validation, macros, lookup functions, trace, goal seeking, trends, sparklines, and map data.
 
 
 
MICROSOFT POWERPOINT 2016
This class is designed for beginners that know little about slideshow presentation software. Learn how to create, modify, and make a running slideshow.

MICROSOFT PUBLISHER 2016
Learn the basics to navigating and using Publisher including customizing and creating a publication. Learn how to add text, building blocks, placeholders, format text and paragraphs, create tables, insert symbols, special characters, and graphics, and manipulate the appearance of pictures. We will also cover saving, running the design checker, preview, print and publication.

SELF-PACED SOFTWARE TRAINING

  • Learn Microsoft Office in a self-paced lab environment with an instructor available to answer your questions.
  • Courses are designed for the student with basic computer experience.  
  • Students may select one Microsoft Office Suite software from the following list to work on each session.
