Nurse Aide is one of the fastest growing careers in Wayne County. Our program includes classroom, lab and clinical experience geared toward providing you with the knowledge and skills necessary to be a State-Tested Nurse Aide (STNA),
Skills: 
  • Deliver basic patient care in various healthcare settings
  • Use Ohio Department of Health curriculum to prepare for the written and skills test to become a State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA)
  • Practice ethical standards, confidentiality, business etiquette, and professionalism when interacting with patients, clients, coworkers, and management

  • ACT National Career Readiness Credential

Entrance Requirements

  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • Sign a criminal background statement
  • Negative two-step Mantoux (TB) test, with a one-step update every year thereafter 
  • Pass pre-entrance WorkKeys assessment test covering Math, Reading, & Locating Information
Career Opportunities: 
  • Prepared for immediate employment with STNA certification
