Received Award April 2014

Orlo Sinclair opened Orlo Auto Parts in 1955 on East Market Street in Orrville. The business moved to Water Street before settling at its current location on North Vine Street. When Orlo retired in 1980, his son Lynn took over the business.

Lynn Sinclair is here tonight to accept the award. Orlo’s has branches in Wooster, Doylestown, Rittman, Millersburg, Barberton, Akron, Portage Lakes, and New Philadelphia and employ 66 individuals. Two Wayne County Schools Career Center graduates currently work at Orlo’s, Corey Fickes and Bill Smith.

“Orlo Auto Parts is very helpful for our Auto Tech lab,” said instructor Rich Shetler, who nominated the business for the award. “They often deliver parts to our programs, sometimes making several trips a day. They are great in providing services to our school.”

They have hired graduates and students, has members serving on advisory committees, and provide job shadowing sites, and mentoring.

We thank Orlo’s for their continuing support of Career and Technical Education in Wayne County.
