On September 27, WCSCC recognized over 130 adult education graduates. Students, family, friends, WCSCC staff and distinguished community members attended the ceremony held at the Career Center in the Commons.

 

Director of Operations and Adult Education Lynn Moomaw welcomed the graduates and attendees and Adult Education Manager Sandy Elliott presided over the ceremony. Two student speakers, Bob Derrick (GED graduate) and Paula Walton (Medical Office Billing & Coding graduate), shared their experiences and offered congratulatory remarks to fellow graduates. Donna Albanese, State ABLE Director, also encouraged the graduates and wished them success in their future careers and pursuit of additional education. The graduates were awarded their diplomas by Emily Hartzler, Josi Weaver-Kranz, Anna Phillips, and WCSCC staff and instructors. Dr. Kip Crain, Superintendent of WCSCC, offered closing remarks.

 

Students graduated from a variety of programs including Administrative Office, Computer & Accounting Office Specialist, Medical Office Billing & Coding, Law Enforcement Training Academy, Cosmetology, Medical Assisting, Automotive Technology, Precision Machining, Welding Technology, Phlebotomy, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Certified Professional Coder, Adult Diploma Program, and GED Program.

 

The following students graduated with Academic High Honors: Elizabeth Heiks, Erin Zito, Lindsey Eggeman, Brittany LeAnne Haumesser, Brittany Lennhoff, Londa Gammell, Kristin Morrow, Very Hockensmith, Stephanie Howell, Zachary Truax, and Corben Miller. Many students also had perfect attendance including: Londa Gammell, Taylor W. Deal, Steven Hunter, Aaron Jones, Cole Kuhns, Michael Lepley, Jeffery Odenkirk, Aaron Perrine, Jeffery Pinkerton, Derek Adam Thompson, and Audrey L. Whims.
