The Wayne County Schools Career Center Outstanding Business Partner is Dunlap Family Physicians of Orrville. Medical doctors practicing in this office are Larry D. Sander, M.D.; Robert H. Hutson, M.D., Andrew J. Naumoff, M.D.; and Steven D. Murray, M.D.; and Nurse Practitioners Lynne M. Hamrick and Ric Tompkins. The practice is located at 830 South Main Street, behind Dunlap Community Hospital in Orrville.
Wayne County Schools Career Center alumna Danella Boreman has worked at DFP for 18 years, and is in charge of the lab. She is on the Medical Assisting advisory committee, and assists with SkillsUSA contests. She provides job shadowing and externships for Career Center students. Other alumni currently working at DFP are: Beth Theibert in accounts payable and payroll; Amber Beall, a medical assistant and phlebotomy technician; Renea Hess, a phlebotomy technician; Kelly Bertsch, a medical assistant and phlebotomy technician; and Michelle Lax, a certified professional coder, in patient accounts, front desk and information technology technician.
Dunlap Family Physicians was nominated for the award by Medical Assisting instructor Keri Merickel. “They never hesitate to help when needed,” said Mrs. Merickel. “I have worked with them for more than 20 years, and they have hired numerous graduates of the Medical Assisting program. It is nice to have the support of the Orrville community.”
