The WCSCC began choosing Outstanding Business Partners in October of 2007. The companies are nominated by Career Center staff, and are listed below in the order in which they received the award. The three or four chosen each year receive a large plaque to display at their location. They are honored at WCJVS Board of Education Meetings.

Criteria for the award are:

• Hiring graduates and/or students
   
• Serving on advisory committees
   
• Making donations to the WCSCC
   
• Participating in clinicals, placement, internships, rotations
   
• Providing services to the WCSCC
   
• Providing field trips, guest speakers, job shadowing sites, mentorships
   
• Owned or operated by WCSCC Alumni
   
• Participation in professional development sessions
   
• Partnering in customized business solutions
   
• Providing judges, equipment and supporting Student Career-Tech

  Organizations such as FFA, SkillsUSA, BPA, FCCLA
   

• Advertising its association with WCSCC at the business location
