Nurse Assistant is one of the fastest growing careers in Wayne County. The Nurse Assistant course will prepare students for a career as a certified nurse assistant in healthcare settings such as nursing homes, hospitals, and long-term care facilities. Our program includes classroom, lab, and clinical experiences geared toward providing you with the knowledge and skills necessary to be a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). 

Entrance Requirements

  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • Sign a criminal background statement
  • Negative two-step Mantoux (TB) test, with a one-step update every year thereafter
  • Pass pre-entrance WorkKeys assessment test covering Math, Reading, & Locating Information

 

 

 

Credentials
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
    • Upon successful completion, you will be eligible to take the Nurse Assistant (CNA) Certification test (cost of test included in tuition)

 

Career Opportunities
  • Prepared for immediate employment with STNA certification
