BPA Students Earn National Recognition in Nashville

Wayne County Schools Career Center Business Professionals of America (BPA) students recently showcased their skills on the national stage at the BPA National Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee from May 6–10, 2026.

Students qualified for the national competition after strong performances at the state level, earning the opportunity to compete against some of the top students from across the country in business, finance, technology, and leadership events.

The WCSCC Computer Animation team, Makiya Lovett, Noah Meyer, and Landon Hall, earned an impressive 10th-place finish in the nation, highlighting the creativity, technical skill, and teamwork developed through their program, Graphic Design & Photography. Additional national qualifiers included Carson Clevenger, who competed in Banking & Finance, and Solomon Steiner, who competed in Human Resource Management.

The conference provided students with valuable opportunities to strengthen leadership skills, build professional connections, and gain real-world experience through national-level competition. Students also had the opportunity to network with peers from across the United States while representing Wayne County Schools Career Center with professionalism and pride.

The experience created lasting memories and reinforced the importance of career and technical education in preparing students for future success in college, careers, and leadership roles.
