Over 239 years ago on September 17, 1787, Our Founders signed the most influential document in American history, the U.S. Constitution. Starting with the three most powerful words in history, “WE THE PEOPLE “it has become the shortest, oldest, and most copied constitution in the world.
In compliance with the federal mandate that designates September 17th as US Constitution Day and requires each school to hold an educational event, this year the WCSCC will recognize and celebrate this day on THURSDAY 9/17.
In this spirit, SLC will host a Constitution Day Spirit Day for Thursday, 9/17. Everyone is invited to wear their red, white, and blue to show their patriotic spirit. Remember to be Patriotic not Political. (No campaign/Election attire are permitted)
Students will have the opportunity to play Constitution Day Bingo during all three lunch periods to earn prizes and will receive a patriotic treat to enjoy.

Students - can you believe we are already halfway through the first grading period? If you need help getting caught up on schoolwork or just need a better understanding of class content, consider tutoring as an option! Before school tutoring is now held daily from 7:30 - 8:00 and after school tutoring is Monday - Thursday from 2:30 - 3:30 in the SAC. No ride? No problem! We can get you a free ride home after tutoring. Please see Miss Smilan in the SAC to sign up or ask any questions. Looking forward to seeing you there!
