The Wayne County Schools Career Center is proud to announce the launch of its 2026 - 2029 Strategic Plan, a roadmap that will guide the district's work over the next three years and build upon its commitment to preparing students and adult learners for success in the paths they choose.
The Strategic Plan was developed through months of collaboration with students, families, staff, business and industry partners, community members, and partner school districts. Through surveys, focus groups, interviews, and planning sessions, stakeholders shared valuable insights that helped shape the district's priorities for the future.
"We are incredibly grateful to everyone who shared their time, ideas, and perspectives throughout this process," said Superintendent Lynn Moomaw. "The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive, affirming the exceptional work already taking place across our district while also identifying meaningful opportunities for continued growth."
Guided by six strategic priorities, the plan focuses on strengthening career pathways and real-world learning opportunities, expanding partnerships with local employers and community organizations, planning for future facility and program growth, enhancing communication and collaboration, supporting student and staff success, and continuing to grow high-quality Adult Education programs that meet the evolving needs of our workforce and community.
Rather than serving as a static document, the Strategic Plan is intended to be a living roadmap. As implementation moves forward, the district will continue gathering feedback, monitoring progress, reviewing data, and refining its work to ensure it remains responsive to the needs of students, families, employers, partner schools, and the communities it serves.
"This plan belongs to all of us," Superintendent Moomaw said. "We invite our community to explore the full Strategic Plan and follow along as we work together to turn these priorities into meaningful action over the next three years."
