Students may be assigned by their instructor to help in lab on one or more of the Visitation Days. They may also be assigned to work on credit recovery or school assignments in the Student Assistance Center.

Any days students are not assigned in these areas they must choose from the following educational options (four contact hours required per day, two contact hours per day for part-time students):

  1. Job Placement, Work, or Work Based Learning:  Many students are already employed and may choose to work if they make arrangements in advance with their employer.

  2. Job Shadow or Clinical Experience: Students may visit an industry, business, or community agency to learn more about a particular career field, while working alongside professionals in that field.

  3. Independent College Visit:  Students may arrange and attend a college visit of their choice.

  4. Independent Community Service:  Students may volunteer to help at a community agency or participate in community service activities of their choice.  Arrangements must be made in advance.

  5. WCSCC College Field Trip:  Students may select to attend the WCSCC arranged college field trips. Details below.

  6. WCSCC Community Service Field Trip:  Students may select to attend the WCSCC community service field trips. Details below.
