Wayne County juniors and seniors learn career and technical skills while attending high school at the Career Center. Transportation is provided by each public high school district. Students are encouraged to participate in their high school extracurricular activities, and will graduate from their high school.

Two new programs are coming in 2017-18: CNC/Advanced Machining @RAMTEC and Robotics/Programmable Logic Controllers @RAMTEC. These will be one-year, half-day programs for high school seniors only. See your guidance counselor for more details or call 330-669-7020.

Other than lab fees, and in some cases, tool and uniform fees, there is no tuition charge for attending the Career Center.

 

In addition to their lab, students take academic classes. Physical Education and Health are not offered at the Career Center.

 

Applicants should have met the graduation requirements for freshmen and sophomores as set by their high schools. This means that they should have completed courses in English, Social Studies, Math, Science, Physical Education and Health. Students deficient in required credits may need to attend summer school, be privately tutored, or take correspondence courses to meet graduation requirements.
