On May 20, we proudly celebrated the Practical Nursing Class of 2026 at their official pinning ceremony, marking an important milestone in their nursing journey. As graduates prepare to take their NCLEX-PN exams in the coming weeks, they leave with the knowledge, skills, and compassion needed to succeed in the healthcare field. Whether entering the workforce or continuing their education, these future nurses are ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Congratulations to the PN Class of 2026, we look forward to all you will accomplish!
Wayne County Schools Career Center Business Professionals of America (BPA) students recently showcased their skills on the national stage at the BPA National Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee from May 6–10, 2026.
Students qualified for the national competition after strong performances at the state level, earning the opportunity to compete against some of the top students from across the country in business, finance, technology, and leadership events.
The 2026 SkillsUSA State Leadership & Skills Championships proved to be an incredible experience and a highly successful year for the WCSCC chapter. With approximately 8,000 attendees, this year’s event marked another record-breaking turnout at the state level.

Every spring, eighth graders from across Wayne County get a firsthand look at the careers that could define their futures. The Wayne County Schools Career Center opens its doors to these visitors each year, offering an opportunity to explore a wide range of professional fields, all under one roof. Eighth grade tours give students a hands-on look at the careers ahead of them before they ever step into high school.
